TrustCloud DocumentID or Document Validation is a verification technology that captures and analyzes in real time the validity of official identity documents from more than 235 countries around the world.

Our document verification technology biometrically analyzes users’ faces to compare them with the portrait of the presented document through reading, OCR and other validation techniques. Furthermore, the solution identifies the veracity and currency of all ID cards, passports or driver’s licences with a success rate of 99%.

The TrustCloud DocumentID focuses and captures an HD snapshot of the identity document when the user presents it in front of the camera. It also detects the subjects’ liveness, so they willhave to naturally blink and make light movements to check that they are present in the process and that their image is not a deepfake or pre-assembled video.

Automatic recognition of the different types of documents and their country of origin

The solution automatically recognizes the different types of identity documents (passports, ID cards, driver’s licenses) and extracts the necessary information to determine the document’s country of origin. We also make it easy to customize the settings to allow certain types of documents to be filtered out or discarded. This functionality is standard, which means that it is also included in the service.

The whole document and its data are captured, including the facial image. The following information is automatically extracted via OCR technology from the document: name, address and date of birth.

The service performs simultaneous security analysis on the critical components of the documents. This includes barcodes, MRZ codes, holograms, data position, security checkpoints, paper type check, ID verification document validation, Microprint and Signature.

With the Face Match feature, we detect the face’s liveliness to ensure that the contrast selfie was taken during the same process from a living person.

Facial biometrics to validate the user’s identity and his/her ownership of the document presented

We use patented facial recognition technology along with ID document verification to determine if the person in the selfie matches the image in the document. The facial recognition technology is very accurate, and we allow it to be accompanied by human validation with qualified agents to perform an additional verification check.
